In July 2006, the Darmstadt Junior Chamber International voted us to be the “most family-friendly company in southern Hessen.” The Spanish subsidiary of Merck Serono in Spain is one of the few companies that have received the certificate for family-friendly companies from the “Foundation + Familia” 2207.

Financial Times

Financial Times
The Financial Times also ranked our British subsidiary Merck Pharma as such in April 2004. Merck immediately ranked among the top 50 out of the 1,000 companies that were reviewed. In 2005, we improved our ranking to 37th place. This ranking is particularly meaningful and credible as it was also based on a confidential survey of Merck employees in Great Britain.

Merck ranked 19th out of a total of 90 of “Britain’s Top Employers 2005” in a similar competition by the daily newspaper “The Guardian” in April 2005. The competition itself was conducted by the international “Corporate Research Foundation.” The criteria for the selection of the best employers also included the extent to which the company shows responsibility for the environment and the community.
